For anyone wanting to fix up a Scrambler, this is the way to go. I have had this Jeep since 1993. It had 63 thousand miles on the totally original drive train. I put a 70’s 350 4bbl Chevy V8 in it and loved it against the 4 speed transmission. When the boys got old enough to drive I put an automatic overdrive transmission so they wouldn’t burn the tires off. I built the nurf bars, front and rear bumpers, from schedule 40 (1/4 inch wall) steel pipe. I put a Ramsey 8000 pound winch on it and it has a removeable tow bar. The paint is original paint and faded. But, the body has no rust throughs, just a couple of dings. It would not take much to get it ready for paint. The only rust is in the front floor pans where I left some cloth floor mats in it and they were wet. The pin holes have been treated and painted and have stopped there. The pans are solid. The dash is complete with a couple of gauges added. The seats are solid and have been recovered at one time. I put in a jump seat in the back with seat belts that came out of a Suburban. It is upholstered to match the front seats. Its great for family riding. All the body hard ware like tailgate hinges, spare tire hinges etc are solid, no rusting. Overall the whole body, dash and undercarriage is original. I did add air shocks in the rear. Never had any body work done to hide problems. The glass has no cracks or breaks. I keep putting off the finishing of this playtoy and have decided to let it go if I find a serious buyer. It has factory power steering and power brakes. It has all the original drive train underneath. I have a complete 6 cyl, 5 speed trans and transfer case, still bolted together, ready to drop in to make it all original once again. In short, the body is original and solid, the drive train is original, and I have the engine, trans, and transfer case to make it 100%, and it has few miles of road time so it’s not worn out. Everything is in working order and all there. This is a jewel of a project whether you decide to make it original or hop it up. Please… serious inquiries only. I’m not looking to give it away. I’m not desparate to get rid of it. I just hate to keep it waiting for me to finish this awesome Jeep. I just don’t seem to be able to allocate the time these days. I have included pictures of it sitting extremely dirty and what it can look like cleaned up. I’m asking $16,500 or will consider serious offers only. Thanks
