More Information & Pictures

After 19 years of owning and enjoying, I have decided to offer my Scrambler for sale.

This Jeep gets lots of looks and comments, although it is not perfect. It’s 32 years old! The Jeep shows well, and the workmanship is top notch. With the shackle reversal on the front suspension, the overdrive transmission, the moderate lift and the selectable rear locker, this Jeep drives pretty nice. The list of upgrades and improvements are as follows:

4.0 liter fuel injected engine and AW4 automatic transmission with OD, 4″ lift kit, fully skid plated, class 3 hitch, new high efficiency radiator (brass), new heater core (brass) and Blazer heater blower upgrade. Warn 8k winch, on board air compressor and 2 tanks, rear ARB air locking differential. Dana 44 rear axle, 4 wheel disc brakes, Navaho brake booster. 33″ BF Goodrich tires, good tread, on American Racing Outlaw II rims.

Nice, but not perfect paint in factory color, Ice Blue Clear Coat, one of two extra cost colors offered in 1985. The Jeep has two back seats and seat belts for six, total. This Jeep has always been garaged and rarely driven in winter. This Jeep has had a full top since new, the rear floor is not beat up or rusted. The soft top is only a couple of years old and comes complete with a window storage bag. I have some 2 piece soft doors that are a little beat up but work great for trail riding.

The Jeep also has a Kenwood stereo that is a couple of years old. This Jeep could be turned back into a pickup, but I don’t have the pickup top or bulkhead. This Jeep has been carefully used as a Jeep. It has been taken on trails and enjoyed, but not destroyed. This Jeep also has been a show Jeep in the past, collecting a couple trophies. (AMC National Concours in 1998).  But when it comes down to it, your kids will never remember how many shows you won, they will remember how much fun it was to ride in this, and even bring a friend or two.

I am asking $19,500 OBO for this Jeep, If you are seeking perfection this could be a place to start, but it isn’t perfect. -Paint has some damage and shows it’s age up close. -Rubber flares are slightly scratched up, brand new flares are still in the box and come with the Jeep -passenger sun visor shows some bubbling-seats have minor tears. -under dash A/C unit will come with Jeep, you will need to source a condenser and have hoses fabricated if you want the rare A/C option.

I don’t need help selling this. I don’t HAVE to sell this. Low ballers will be ignored. Scammers will be reported.
